Obituary of Harold Church

Harold Church, age 44, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, in San Augustine, Texas.

He was born July 7, 1975, to Faye Church and graduated from Zavalla High School in 1994. Harold had been a resident of Colonial Pines in San Augustine since 2015.

He was a wonderful person with the sweetest soul who enjoyed all activities at Colonial Pines. Some of his favorites were music (he loved his rock and heavy metal music more than anything), making crafts (his absolute favorite craft was making wooden cars and painting them, he was so proud of the outcome), coloring, he enjoyed being read to, attending church services, he loved pet visits, loved drinking Dr Pepper and every chance he got he was going tomakr sure to get ice cream. He was able to recently take his very first outing to the zoo. He was given a wish and his only wish was to see the animals.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.

Following visitation his funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Wyman Roberts Chapel with Pastor Gordon Vaughn officiating.

There will be no graveside service.

He is survived by his foster mom, Sally Marshall; and his two brothers, David and Otis Church. Those left to cherish his memory are all of his friends at Colonial Pines who cared for him and loved him like family.

Special friends also include Kerr Fairley; along with Lindsey Ross, who was his nurse--she made him smile and was very special to him; and Leola Davis, who recently came into his life a few months back as his best friend and loved him as her own.

A special thanks is extended to Colonial Pines and Affinity Hospice for caring for him in his last days.
